We are proud to announce that we have teamed up with Parts Shop MAX NZ for our first season of competitive drifting. We have run PSM parts on our cars from the very start so are more than stoked on the new partnership. Head over and like the Parts Shop MAX NZ facebook page for updates on all their products in our little corner of the world. We stopped by the PSM headquarters yesterday. Here's the run down.
We showed up with two fresh candy powder coated subframes. One each for the S14 and S13. The subframes were bead blasted, then coated in a heavy silver powder coat and a layer of candy red.
We unloaded the S13 chucked it on Parts Shop MAX's hoist and got busy pulling the old subframe.
Here's the old subframe. As you can see we have been previously running the first generation MAX arms. These arms were originally in the S13, then came all the way to Japan where I ran them on both my 180sx and R32, then back to NZ for further thrashing in the S13. None of the arms have ever had a problem and all the joints are in great condition after all that use. You can see why we are so happy to finally team up with Parts Shop MAX NZ.
We started assembling the new bare subframe, first up the MAX subframe risers..
.. then the lower, traction, camber and toe arms, as well as a fresh set of Part Shop MAX competition coilovers.
The hoist is a luxury we really arn't used to. It makes jobs like this far more enjoyable compared with rolling around on the workshop floor.
We then lowered the car down onto the fresh subframe with all the arms attached. I don't think we will ever get sick of seeing this colour combo every time we are under the car.
We are planning to add PSM rear drop hubs as soon as they are in stock, this will complete the full rear setup.
Once again thanks to Parts Shop MAX NZ. We look forward to running and representing your parts from now on!
More updates once we start getting some MAX gear into the S14...
